A father to the fatherless,(A) a defender of widows,(B)
    is God in his holy dwelling.(C)

When you, God, went out(H) before your people,
    when you marched through the wilderness,[b](I)

    before God, the One of Sinai,(L)
    before God, the God of Israel.(M)
You gave abundant showers,(N) O God;
    you refreshed your weary inheritance.
10 Your people settled in it,
    and from your bounty,(O) God, you provided(P) for the poor.
